Christ Community Church was known as Waseca Evangelical Free Church from its founding in 1962 and up until the July 2004 move to a larger facility.  We continue to be affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America.

We usually meet for worship at 8:00 and 10:45 on Sunday mornings, and at 9:30 for Sunday School.  From approximately July 1st through Labor Day, we combine for one large gathering at 9:30 on Sunday morning.  Check the home page for the service times for this week.

We would love to pray for you, and can do so in one or more ways.  We can pray for you during a Sunday morning church service, we can meet with you after a morning service, or we can pray for you in our weekly church staff meeting.  Click here to send your request to us by email, and please note whether you wish to have us pray privately in the weekly staff meeting or publicly at a morning worship.

A typical morning service begins with music presented by a worship team of four to six people.  The music is typically contemporary praise songs of the type heard on KJLY or KTIS radio stations.  A pastor will ordinarily provide a brief greeting, followed by congregational singing, with words projected on two large screens in the front of the worship center.  Again, the music is generally contemporary, although traditional hymns are frequently included in the morning worship service.  A pastor or elder will spend some time praying for requests that have been emailed or otherwise delivered to the church office before the service.  Offering plates are passed by ushers, providing members and regular attenders an opportunity to present tithes, offerings, and requests for staff prayer.  The morning message typically lasts for 30 to 40 minutes, exploring a section of the Bible in profound detail. The service typically will last about 75 minutes.  Elders are available after the service if individual prayer is desired.

1. WE BELIEVE the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

2. WE BELIEVE in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins, according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our high Priest and Advocate.

4. WE BELIEVE that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.

5. WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost; and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

6. WE BELIEVE that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe, and that only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become the children of God.

7. WE BELIEVE that the Lord's Supper and water baptism by immersion for the believer are ordinances to be observed by the Church during this present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as a means of salvation.

8. WE BELIEVE that the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head.

9. WE BELIEVE that only those who are thus members of the true Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church.

10. WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is the Lord and the Head of the Church, and that every local church has the right, under Christ, to decide and govern its own affairs.

11. WE BELIEVE in the personal and premillennial and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this "Blessed Hope" has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

12. WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of the dead: of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.

1. Realize that you are a sinner.

No matter how good a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. That is because we are all sinners. We all fall short of God’s desire for us to be holy. The Bible says, “No one is good—not even one” (Romans 3:10 NLT). This is because we cannot become who we are supposed to be without Jesus Christ.

2. Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.

The Bible tells us, “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:8 NLT). This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it.

3. Repent of your sin.

The Bible tells us to “repent and be converted” (Acts 3:19 NKJV). The word “repent” means to change your direction in life. Instead of running from God, you can run toward Him. Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church on Sunday. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door [of your life] and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in....” (Revelation 3:20 NKJV).

4. Receive Jesus Christ into your life.

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.

If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart.
If you just prayed that prayer and meant it, Jesus Christ has now taken residence in your heart! To put your faith into action, be sure to spend time with God by reading your Bible, praying, going to church, and telling others about Christ. If you would like some free information about your new life as a Christian, just let us know.

At Christ Community Church we practice open communion, which means: If you have asked Jesus to forgive your sins and come into your heart and if you understand, acknowledge and accept his sacrificial death, then you are invited to join us in remembrance of Him as he instructed at the Lord's Supper.

Our missionaries are supported financially through faith-promise giving.  In the fall of each year, information is provided to the congregation, indicating the names and financial support requirements of each sponsored missionary. Individuals consider how they can participate in meeting these needs, and then make a commitment for that amount. A faith-promise pledge form is used for this purpose, and the form can be completed at any time during the year. More information can be obtained from the Missions Commission.
